Job summary

Sisk Group in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Buyer with five+ years' procurement experience in construction plant and equipment to lead sourcing for our projects. You will manage requisitions, negotiate rates, and oversee the plant hire lifecycle from enquiry to off‑hire, ensuring value and compliance.

Working in the Netherlands for a four‑year period, you will collaborate with Supply Chain, project teams and site colleagues to optimise costs, lead times and supplier performance while

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' procurement experience in construction plant or related category.
• Knowledge of plant hire and purchase, supplier markets and whole-life cost.
• Experience analyzing quotations and negotiating rates and supplier agreements.
• Experience with Netherlands/EU regulatory compliance for plant and safety.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are advantageous.
• Proficient with COINS or similar ERP and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Servicing requisitions for the purchase and hire of construction plant and equipment.
• Analyse supplier quotations, prepare comparisons and select best‑value solutions.
• Manage plant hire lifecycle from enquiry to off‑hire and records.
• Attend procurement and project meetings to support sourcing and planning.
• Maintain supplier rates and frameworks with Supply Chain teams.
• Coordinate onboarding, certification, safety and environmental compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues.
• Provide market intelligence on rates, availability and lead times.
