Job summary

Sisk in Amsterdam is seeking a procurement professional to source and hire construction plant and related services, ensuring compliant, competitive solutions throughout projects.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage supplier quotations, negotiate terms, track the life cycle from enquiry to off-hire and align with safety and environmental requirements in NL/EU. The role values English fluency and Dutch knowledge as beneficial, and offers a strong rewards package.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' procurement or buying experience, preferably in construction plant or equipment hire.
• Strong knowledge of plant hire and purchase categories, supplier markets, and commercial terms.
• Proven ability to analyse quotations, negotiate rates and agreements, and manage suppliers to cost, service, safety, and programme requirements.
• Working knowledge of equipment certification, inspection, health and safety, and environmental requirements in the Netherlands and EU.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Servicing requisitions for purchase and hire of construction plant and equipment per Sisk procedures.
• Obtain and analyse supplier quotations; prepare comparisons and recommend best-value solutions.
• Manage plant hire lifecycle from enquiry to off-hire with accurate records.
• Attend procurement and project meetings; support sourcing, planning and expediting plant needs.
• Agree and maintain supplier rates, frameworks and agreements with Supply Chain and Plant Commercial teams.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, equipment certification and project safety/compliance before mobilisation.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery, and invoice accuracy; drive corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for CAPEX and low-emission plant solutions to improve cost and programme.
• Provide market intelligence on rates, availability, and supply-chain capacity.
