Job summary

Robin Radar seeks a Procurement Category Manager - Mechatronic Parts to own sourcing for mechatronics, metals, and assemblies. You’ll collaborate with Product Engineers on DFM, manage supplier capacity, and protect production with robust SLAs.

You’ll report to the Head of Procurement and drive Make vs Buy analyses while negotiating framework contracts and maintaining SAP/Odoo data. Fluency in English, plus Dutch/German as an asset, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years of strategic procurement or category management experience in high-tech manufacturing.
• Proven track record of RFQ processes and negotiating long-term framework contracts.
• Hands-on experience navigating ERP platforms like Odoo or SAP.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
• Dutch or German language is a strong asset.
• Agility to move between high-level strategy and hands-on supplier escalation.
• Occasional availability for international travel to conduct supplier audits and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute sourcing strategies for mechatronics, precision metals, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineers during early design phases on DFM, lead times, and cost structures.
• Build relationships with global suppliers and implement SLAs to monitor OTIF and quality metrics.
• Identify material shortages and single-source risks and mitigate downtime.
• Lead Make vs Buy analyses for complex sub-assemblies and draft Statements of Work.
• Negotiate framework contracts and manage BOM configurations, lead times, and pricing in SAP or Odoo.
