Job summary

Robin Radar Systems is seeking a Procurement Category Manager - Mechatronic Parts to align Innovation, Assembly, and suppliers. You own long-term capacity and reliability of precision components, leading early design collaboration with Product Engineers and driving DFM insights.

You will negotiate contracts, maintain ERP data, and ensure on-time supply while mitigating risks. A strong background in high-tech manufacturing, and fluency in English, are required; Dutch/German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in SCM, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years of strategic procurement or category management in high-tech manufacturing.
• Technical baseline in CNC, casting, injection molding, and tolerances.
• Experience with RFQ processes and long-term framework contracts.
• Hands-on experience with ERP platforms like Odoo or SAP.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Dutch or German language skills are a plus.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on supplier escalation.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing strategy and execution for mechatronics and assemblies.
• Early design collaboration on DFM, lead times, and cost structures.
• Develop supplier relationships and implement SLAs.
• Identify shortages and mitigate risks to protect production lines.
• Lead Make vs Buy analyses and manage IP protections.
• Negotiate framework contracts and maintain BOM data in SAP/Odoo.
