Job summary

VIA Logistics Professionals is assisting an international logistics provider in recruiting a Business Development Manager. You will own growth in the Benelux region with opportunities in Asia and the United States, shaping commercial strategy and building long-term client relationships.

You bring a Bachelor's or Master's in Logistics or related field, several years in contract logistics sales, and a proven track record of meeting targets.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a commercial role within contract logistics.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related field.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and growing customer bases.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
• Knowledge of or a network in Asia and the United States is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies to realise the organisation's profitable growth ambitions.
• Identify and approach new business opportunities in retail, fashion, pharma, aerospace & defence and high tech.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and support departments to translate RFQs, RFIs and customer needs into complete, customised logistics solutions.
• Manage the full sales process from lead generation to contract signing using a modern CRM system.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers.
• Stay ahead of industry trends including digitalization, sustainability and e-commerce and integrate them into business strategies.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement and optimise commercial strategies.
