Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Head of the CFO Digital Transformation Office in Noordwijk, NL. The role leads the Digital, Data and IT contribution to the CFO transformation across Finance, Controlling and Procurement, aligning with CFO priorities and Agency strategy.

You will steer end‑to‑end ERP initiatives, including the S/4HANA programme, ensuring data integrity, governance and value realisation, while managing a diverse, cross‑functional team and external partners.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required with 10+ years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience in finance, IT or related fields.
• Experience leading enterprise transformation programmes across ERP and related applications in large organisations.
• Strong governance, risk management and senior stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the Digital, Data and IT contribution to CFO digital transformation.
• Lead the CFO Digital Transformation Office within RES-I.
• Establish and operate a Digital, Data and IT governance framework for CFO transformation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including vendors and system integrators.
• Ensure end-to-end coherence of CFO processes, systems and data across the enterprise.
• Oversee the Agency-wide S/4HANA transformation programme from design to stabilisation.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost and quality targets; escalate risks and dependencies as needed.
• Coordinate with CFO stakeholders and other directorates to ensure alignment and value realisation.
