Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is recruiting a Project Manager to join the central Project Management Pool. You will provide end-to-end support to principal investigators, coordinating multi-partner EU and national projects and ensuring timely reporting and risk management across consortiums.

You will work with researchers, programme managers, and funders, balancing scientific needs with funder requirements while maintaining strict documentation and compliance.

Competenze

• Academic mindset and research background with knowledge of project management methods (planning, monitoring, communication, coaching).
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary academic consortia and internal support functions.
• Knowledge of Dutch and European research grants (Horizon Europe, NWA-ORC, NWO KIC).

Mansioni

• Manage administrative processes across multiple projects, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
• Lead operational, administrative, financial, and managerial coordination to support PIs.
• Liaise with consortium partners and funders’ Officers on progress reporting.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for project and consortium meetings.
• Mitigate project risks by monitoring implementation against funding and agreements.
• Maximise the project budget in collaboration with Project Control, Business Control, and department managers.
• Coordinate support from Legal, Finance, HR, Ethics, and Business Development.
