Job summary

Holland Colours is seeking a Category Manager to own a strategic material segment with €15-20 million annual spend. You’ll shift procurement from tactical to strategic, influencing P&L and partnering with global suppliers across pigments, carriers, or additives.

You’ll lead a three-person team, report to the Head of Global Procurement, and enjoy ownership, autonomy, and a collaborative, transparent culture.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in procurement within plastics or paints & coatings.
• Hands-on experience in category management or strategic sourcing.
• Commercially minded with an eye for market trends and geopolitics.
• Ability to influence global suppliers and senior leadership.
• Strategic thinker who can balance long-term goals with limited resources.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a concrete strategic category plan for assigned categories.
• Drive year-on-year reduction in total cost of ownership.
• Build and maintain strategic, long-term partnerships with key global suppliers.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard alternative suppliers.
• Act as the market intelligence hub for your category, staying ahead of geopolitical developments, commodity price trends, and regulatory changes.
• Consolidate global demand forecasts in collaboration with the four plants.
