Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a storage engineer, specialist or architect to support enterprise storage, data-protection and related infrastructure services. The role ensures that platforms remain available, resilient, secure and capable of meeting workload performance and capacity requirements.

You will monitor capacity, resolve incidents, provision storage, maintain backups, and work with server, virtualization, network, database and cloud teams to drive improvements and automation across the storage

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise storage environments and data protection.
• Familiar with SAN/NAS technologies and storage networking.
• Knowledge of backup, replication and disaster recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor capacity, availability, utilisation and performance.
• Resolve incidents affecting storage access, replication and data protection.
• Provision and configure storage according to standards.
• Perform platform maintenance, patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Support SAN, NAS, block, file and object-storage services.
• Maintain replication, backup and disaster-recovery capabilities.
• Analyse performance bottlenecks and capacity trends.
• Work with server, virtualisation, network, database and cloud teams.
• Maintain configuration records, diagrams and recovery procedures.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring and reporting where appropriate.
• Lead resolution of complex storage and data-recovery incidents (L4).
• Define storage architecture, data-placement strategies and roadmaps (L5).
