Job summary

MSD Netherlands is offering an internship in the Global Statistics and Data Management (GSTDM) team in Boxmeer. You will independently analyze datasets from R&D projects, contribute to study designs, and report on (pre-)clinical findings.

Work includes data collection, cleaning, and visualization using SAS, R or Python. The role requires ongoing enrollment in a Master’s program in statistics/biostatistics/bioinformatics, strong statistical skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master’s program in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related field (Bachelor possible in some circumstances).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodology.
• Proficient in statistical software (SAS, R, Python).
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in biological or epidemiological research is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze datasets from projects critical to R&D goals under GSTDM ways of working.
• Contribute ideas in study designs, data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting of studies.
• Collaborate with researchers on study design and analysis of experiments.
• Assist in analyzing animal-level data and provide data visualizations.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing analyses and findings.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to research strategies.
• Deliver daily outputs and present final results to the team.
