Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Boxmeer (Netherlands) offers an internship with Global Statistics and Data Management (GSTDM). You will analyze datasets from key projects, contribute to study designs, and report on (pre-)clinical studies using SAS/R/Python.

The team supports R&D and vaccine/product registrations worldwide. The 6-month internship requires current enrollment in a master's program in statistics or related field, with strong analytical skills and English communication.

Qualifications

• Preferably enrolled in a master's program in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related field (Bachelor is also qualified in certain circumstances).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodology.
• Proficient in statistical software (SAS, R, Python).
• Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers on study design and analysis of experiments.
• Assist in analyzing animal-level data.
• Use SAS, R or Python to perform data analysis and visualization.
• Conduct literature reviews to support research findings.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing analyses and findings.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to research strategies.
• Manage daily deliverables and present results internally.
