Job summary

Impact Hub Amsterdam seeks a proactive Startup Ecosystem Support Intern to bridge research and hands-on program facilitation. You will support both our Innovation Team and Venture Support Team, contributing from data sourcing to live event days and helping map the next wave of impact initiatives.

The role emphasizes entrepreneurship support, collaboration across teams, and a hands-on approach to running program days with energy and precision.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required; Dutch preferred for an international environment.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s degree.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working with data (Excel is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Innovation sourcing and database building: research, scout, and map out initiatives; maintain databases.
• Program design and improvement: contribute to iterative program designs.
• Program day facilitation and hosting: be the face of Impact Hub on program days and coordinate stakeholders.
• Entrepreneur sparring partner: engage with impact entrepreneurs and support their growth journeys.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, high-energy Startup Ecosystem Support Intern to join our team and act as the ultimate bridge between innovation research and hands-on program facilitation.

In this dual-focused role, you will support both our Innovation Team and our Venture Support Team. You will have your hands in everything from high-level data sourcing to the buzzing energy of live event days. One day you will be deeply focused on mapping out the next wave of impact initiatives; the next, you will be on your feet, acting as a sparring partner for entrepreneurs and making sure our program days run flawlessly.

What you will do

• Innovation Sourcing & Database Building: Research, scout, and map out cutting-edge impact initiatives. Maintain and optimize our innovation databases to keep our ecosystem sharp and informed.
• Program Design & Improvement: Bring your creative ideas to the table to help iterate and improve our running program designs.
• Program Day Facilitation & Hosting: Be the face of Impact Hub on program days. You will handle preparation, coordinate stakeholders, host the space, and ensure everything runs smoothly so entrepreneurs have a seamless experience.
• Entrepreneur Sparring Partner: Directly engage with impact entrepreneurs, act as a sounding board, and support them through their growth journey.

Who you are

You are a natural connector who loves translating big-picture ideas into concrete action. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

• Education: You are currently enrolled in or have recently completed a Master’s degree program.
• Language Skills: Fluent English is a must. Proficiency in Dutch is highly preferred, and any additional languages are a plus in our international environment.
• Hard Skills: You are highly organized and comfortable working with data (Excel wizardry is a big plus).
• Soft Skills: You are fiercely proactive, action-oriented, open-minded, and love to work with people.
