Job summary

Harnham in Amsterdam is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to own a modern data platform, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will shape platform tooling, self-service capabilities, and AI-focused initiatives to enable teams across the business.

You will drive scalable data solutions, productionise data products, and provide technical direction while remaining hands-on. This role offers autonomy in a hybrid Amsterdam setup and exposure to AI programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a data engineer delivering scalable data platform solutions.
• Strong collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business needs into technical outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering direction.
• Experience productionising data products in cloud environments (Databricks/Spark).
