Job summary

Eye Security seeks a hands-on security researcher to champion AI security, build prototypes, and advance agentic SOC capabilities. You will independently explore AI/agentic-system opportunities, evaluate prototypes against real-world cases, and translate findings into practical controls across customer environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, research publication, and shaping the industry’s best practices for AI security reviews.

• Champion AI security as a discipline at Eye Security


• Independently explore AI and agentic-system opportunities


• Build working prototypes and turn successful experiments into production capabilities


• Expand Agentic SOC capabilities by identifying and improving investigation, triage, and response workflows


• Prototype agents and evaluate them against real operational cases


• Measure effects on analyst quality, speed, and workload


• Research and prototype agentic systems for vulnerability identification, exposure and exploitability validation, detection logic development, and prioritization across customer environments


• Explore turning prototypes into customer-facing tools with customers and partners


• Assess agentic, LLM, and RAG systems for prompt injection, unsafe tool use, data leakage, and supply-chain exposure


• Translate security findings into practical engineering controls


• Collaborate with Principals, internal teams, customers, partners, engineers, and security specialists


• Track emerging attack techniques and OWASP, NIST, and ENISA guidance


• Write technical research for the Eye Research blog and represent Eye Security through talks and technical content


• Execute a 100-day plan


• Develop an Agentic SOC prototype and/or AI-driven CVE hunting capability


• Complete a security assessment of at least one production AI system and help implement resulting controls


• Establish a working definition of an AI security review at Eye Security


• Publish research or tooling when it creates meaningful value

Requirements

• Strong hands-on cybersecurity experience in one or more areas such as SOC operations, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability research, offensive security, or security engineering


• Staff-level technical judgment and ability to independently identify valuable research questions


• Ability to build working prototypes largely independently


• Demonstrable hands-on experience or interest in LLMs, agents, RAG, or related systems through professional work, independent research, open-source contributions, or substantial personal projects


• Working proficiency in English


• Dutch or German is a plus, not a requirement


• Prior offensive security experience, SOC operations, MDR, or incident response is a bonus


• Contributions to the AI security community are a bonus


• Experience with managed LLM platforms such as Bedrock is a bonus
