Job Purpose and Primary Objectives

Microservices Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Work as a Senior Kotlin Backend developer in the Replenishment team, contributing to eCommerce backoffice functions for stock replenishment and order fulfillment.

Create new Kotlin services, teach team members, and support migration from Oracle PL/SQL to Kotlin.

Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (standups, refinement, planning, retrospectives) and own the code in a DevOps environment, including 24/7 standby shifts.

Analyze and design application and data architecture solutions, enforce code quality, develop best practices, and manage deployments, ensuring reliability of business‑critical processes.

Must Have Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years software engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years Kotlin development experience (4+ preferred).
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Oracle PL/SQL (preferred), and CI/CD.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Cloud CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Training and coaching experience (must have).
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset; adaptability to multicultural environments.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.

Preferred Experience

• Multiple years of Kotlin experience (4+ years).
• Oracle PL/SQL plus experience with Kafka, Grafana, Postgres, and APIs.
