Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE is seeking a Spare Parts Technician in Schiedam, Netherlands. The role focuses on handling quotations, orders, and customer coordination to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery of spares for the maritime sector.

The successful candidate will manage communications between customers, suppliers, warehouse, and internal teams, while maintaining high service levels and compliance with company policies. Fluency in English is essential for daily interactions.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge preferred.
• Business administration experience preferred.
• 5+ years in Maritime/Off-shore spares industry.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written).
• Excellent customer service skills, strong networking and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first contact for customers and prepare accurate quotations.
• Manage the quotation and order process in the ERP system with pricing, delivery and terms.
• Coordinate communication between customers, suppliers, warehouse and internal teams for timely orders and documentation.
• Monitor orders and proactively resolve issues, including customer complaints, while complying with Palfinger Marine policies.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure invoicing accuracy and updated supplier data.

To strengthen our operation, we are looking for a Spare Parts Technician.

Your Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction, understanding needs, and preparing accurate quotations accordingly
• Manage the full quotation and order process — from receiving requests to issuing final sales quotes and processing orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy in pricing, delivery, and terms
• Coordinate communication between customers, suppliers, warehouse, and internal teams to ensure timely order handling, shipping, and documentation
• Monitor orders and proactively resolve issues, including customer complaints, while maintaining compliance with Palfinger Marine’s policies and regulations
• Collaborate across departments (spares, logistics, purchasing, finance) to ensure accuracy in invoicing, updated supplier data, and overall efficiency in the sales and distribution process

Your Qualifications

• Technical knowledge and understanding is preferred
• Business administration experience is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Maritime / Off-shore spares industry
• Excellent customer service skills, good networker and self-motivated
• Good leadership, cooperation, communication, and organizational skills
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
