Job summary

Serco is seeking a Configuration and Document Management Officer for ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. You will bridge engineering, project control and quality to ensure accurate, traceable documentation and configuration data across space projects.

You will lead processes, manage lifecycle documentation, and train teams on configuration and documentation practices while coordinating reviews and change control across international partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• At least 4 years in document or configuration management, preferably in engineering/space.
• Strong knowledge of configuration control, change management and technical reviews.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of another ESA language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and implementation of configuration and documentation management requirements, processes and plans.
• Manage the full lifecycle of project documentation, including registration, distribution, updates, review and archiving.
• Set up processes for controlled information flow with industrial partners.
• Ensure configuration control and traceability of technical documentation and deliverables.
• Provide training on configuration and documentation processes to ESA, partners and industry.
• Support ITT processes to ensure baseline documentation is referenced and tracked.
• Maintain and update documentation such as CIDL, CSAR, CBDL.
• Assist project teams in retrieving and managing technical information and documentation.
• Contribute to improvement of document and configuration management tools and processes.
• Coordinate project reviews in ECLIPSE with RIDs and follow-up actions.
• Manage change processes for CRs/CCNs and RFDs/RFWs.
• Organise CCBs including agenda, secretary duties and follow-up.
