Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Solutions Engineer I to partner with internal Security teams, delivering technical solutions and driving adoption of our Security Platform Services. You will translate user needs into platform features, build solutions with cross-functional teams, and foster a community of users to accelerate security outcomes.

The role emphasizes strong communication, scripting experience (Python preferred), and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field experience required.
• 1 to 3 years experience with solution design.
• 1 to 3 years experience in (internal) customer facing roles with a proven track record across multiple internal organisations.
• 1 to 3 years scripting experience. Python knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience supporting business cases for technical solutions using qualitative & quantitative data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with proactive attitude and team collaboration.
• Experience in incident response (automation and orchestration a plus).
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hold platform demonstrations and translate requirements into business outcomes.
• Develop opportunities to accelerate platform adoption and empower teams.
• Deliver custom technical solutions leveraging platform components.
• Engage with stakeholders to onboard and optimize platform usage.
• Support platform product solutions and help build a roadmap with product management.
• Define user needs, architect solutions with users and the dev team, lead realization.
• Contribute to product documentation and usage guides.
• Foster a community of platform users to expand awareness and usage across security capabilities.
