Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Consultant, Digital Assets for a client-facing consulting role based in the Netherlands. You will work with banks, CASPs, custodians, and regulators to navigate digital asset regulations and deliver advisory services across Europe.

You will translate complex compliance and risk challenges into clearly scoped solutions, drive discovery sessions, and shape product roadmaps through client insights. Significant autonomy and international exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting, solutions consulting, business development, compliance, risk, regulatory, or similar role.
• Experience working with or within banks, CASPs, custodians, or other regulated financial institutions, with a practical understanding of how compliance and risk functions operate day to day.
• Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory compliance and related technology.
• Professional‑level writing and presentation skills, with the ability to create client‑ready reports and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and consulting engagements from discovery through delivery with limited supervision.
• Comfortable working in a forward‑deployed environment and spending several weeks at a time on client sites.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Europe, with occasional travel outside the region.
• Strong consulting, problem‑solving, stakeholder‑management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of European digital asset regulatory frameworks such as MiCA, FCA, BaFin, or AMF is highly advantageous.
• Experience with regulatory licensing, examinations, or readiness programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Spend extended periods working on-site with compliance, risk, innovation, and regulatory teams at banks and other financial institutions across Europe.
• Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand workflows, pain points, regulatory obligations, and business needs.
• Document client requirements and insights to inform product and commercial decisions.
• Translate client discoveries into actionable input for Product and Business Development teams.
• Partner with Business Development during client meetings and regulatory discussions, owning solution design and engagement delivery.
• Present products and services to senior audiences in a clear, consultative manner.
• Convert client challenges into well-defined proposals with scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Lead advisory engagements including licensing-readiness reviews, regulatory gap analyses, and regulatory-readiness programs.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and regulator meetings across the region.
• Coordinate with international teams across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Accountabilities

• Partner with Business Development during client meetings and regulatory discussions, taking ownership of solution design, technical follow‑up, and engagement delivery.

• Present products and services to senior compliance, risk, regulatory, and executive audiences in a clear, credible, and consultative manner.

• Convert client challenges into well‑defined proposals with clear scope, deliverables, timelines, and expected outcomes.

• Lead advisory engagements including licensing‑readiness reviews, regulatory gap analyses, technical due diligence, digital asset strategy assessments, workshops, and client reports.

• Represent the organization at relevant industry conferences, events, and regulator meetings across the region.

• Coordinate effectively with international teams across Europe, North America, and Asia and manage collaboration across multiple time zones.

Requirements

• Experience working with or within banks, CASPs, custodians, or other regulated financial institutions, with a practical understanding of how compliance and risk functions operate day to day.

• Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory compliance and related technology.

• Professional‑level writing and presentation skills, with the ability to create client‑ready reports and communicate effectively with senior compliance, risk, regulatory, and executive stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and consulting engagements from discovery through delivery with limited supervision.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Europe, with occasional travel outside the region.

• Experience with VASP licensing, regulatory examinations, compliance remediation, or regulatory‑readiness programs is a plus.

• Familiarity with compliance, risk, surveillance, or regulatory technology platforms is beneficial.

• Big Four or financial services consulting experience is advantageous.

• Additional European language skills and established relationships with compliance, risk, innovation, or regulatory leaders across European financial institutions are valuable.

• Ability to operate effectively across international teams and changing client environments.
