Job summary

Victrix Legion in The Hague is seeking a software Engineer with strong backend experience in Java and Python, plus solid SQL and data modeling skills. You will contribute to server-side logic, and translate UI/UX designs into responsive web applications using Angular or React.

Experience with Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab), Linux, and container engines (Podman or Docker) is required. Prior work on legacy systems and modernization efforts is a plus.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in development, deployment, and maintenance of server-side logic.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Solid SQL knowledge and data schema design.
• Good understanding of Git for code versioning, CI/CD with Jenkins/GitLab, rigorous automated testing.
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Experience with container engines (Podman/Docker).
• Recent experience in translation of UI/UX designs into responsive web applications.
• Experience with web application frameworks like Angular or React.
• Legacy application experience: debugging issues in older code bases, modernizing legacy systems.
