Job summary

WLG in The Hague is seeking three software development engineers to deliver gap capability work packages on integrated command and control systems. You will work on a mix of new build and modernising software already in service.

You will develop server-side logic in Java and Python, design data schemas, and translate UI designs into responsive web apps using Angular or React, while running on Linux with Podman or Docker and using Git, CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience across Java, Python and SQL.
• Comfort with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Linux with Podman or Docker.
• Experience with Angular or React in production.
• Evidence of refactoring legacy code.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and maintain server-side logic in Java and Python.
• Design data schemas and SQL behind them.
• Apply engineering discipline: Git, CI/CD through Jenkins or GitLab, automated testing.
• Run your work on Linux, with container engines such as Podman or Docker.
• Translate UI and UX designs into responsive web applications with Angular or React.
• Debug older code bases and modernise legacy systems.
