Job summary

Barak Market Making ищет опытного инженера ПО для разработки и поддержки высокопроизводительных торговых компонентов. Основной фокус — низколатентные решения, IPC и оптимизация сетевых путей на Linux.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Проектировать, строить и поддерживать высокопроизводительные торговые компоненты с акцентом на IPC, память и сетевые ввод-выводы.
• Сотрудничать с Linux и сетевыми инженерами для оптимизации сетевых буферов ядра и системной конфигурации.
• Работать с квантовыми трейдерами и исследователями для переноса стратегий в детерминированный продакшн-код.
• Брать на себя полную ответственность за инфраструктурные проекты: от архитектуры до CI/CD и мониторинга.
• Упрощать сложные торговые компромиссы и объяснять системное поведение как техническим, так и не техническим командам.

Barak Capital Market Making is a technology-driven proprietary trading firm and an official market maker on major exchanges worldwide. Its Amsterdam office, established in 2021, is a new venture to expand its trading knowledge across Europe.

Задачи:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency core trading components, focusing on IPC, memory optimization, thread management, and network I/O rather than application-level GUIs
• Collaborate with Linux and network engineers to optimize kernel socket buffers, hardware integration, and system-level configurations for maximum throughput and reliability
• Partner with quant traders and researchers to translate trading strategies into ultra-fast, deterministic production code
• Take end-to-end responsibility for complex infrastructure projects, from architectural design and benchmarking to CI/CD automation and production monitoring
• Explain complex technical trade-offs, system behavior, and low-latency bottlenecks to technical and non-technical teams

Требования:

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience in C++ or Java, with a sustained track record of ownership and impact on mission-critical systems
• Deep knowledge of low-level software engineering, including memory layout, concurrency models, Linux OS internals, kernel profiling, and low-latency optimizations
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, share knowledge, participate in rigorous code reviews, and work toward shared platform goals
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex low-level concepts simply
• Strong autodidactic drive and problem-solving initiative; comfortable taking ownership beyond rigid corporate silos
