Join the Demcon software engineering team as a junior software engineer, where you will work alongside experienced colleagues on the development of systems that, for example, improve animal welfare or drive advancements in the semiconductor industry.

Demcon high-tech systems is a multidisciplinary development and engineering partner for mechatronic challenges, from concept to realization, in the field of high-tech systems.

What are you going to do?

To work on tomorrow’s solutions, you need to act today. At Demcon high-tech systems, you work for a wide range of clients across different market segments. The work is diverse: one moment you are developing a research and analysis tool for the semiconductor industry, and the next you may be contributing to the development of a smart water meter.

This diversity of clients is reflected in the challenging technical solutions, ranging from microcontrollers and PLCs to PC applications, all with one key aspect in common: you are always controlling hardware. To achieve this, you work in a project team together with other experts in software, mechanics, electronics, and systems engineering.

What do you bring to the table?

• You have a technical background at HBO or WO level in electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field;
• You have a broad interest in technology and software engineering;
• You are results-driven and have an energetic and motivated mindset, with the ambition to further develop yourself and grow in your field;
• You have some knowledge and experience with controlling hardware;
• You have some knowledge or experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python, and different platforms like Windows, PLC, and Linux, or the willingness to further develop in this area;
• You have some knowledge and experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Jira, CI/CD, Git, Docker, etc.;
• Additionally, you are analytical, have strong conceptual thinking skills, are customer-oriented, results-driven, hands-on, and a true team player.
