Job summary

Virtuagym in Amsterdam is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Blue domain, focusing on billing and payments. You will contribute to design, implementation, and testing of features across our payments platform, and collaborate with product management to translate requirements into reliable software.

The role requires hands-on PHP development with a willingness to work across the stack, including Python and frontend components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in software development with focus on PHP.
• Solid, hands-on production experience with PHP (required); Python is a strong plus.
• Strong testing mindset and commitment to quality software.
• Good communication and collaboration with Product Management.

Responsibilities

• Designing scalable software solutions for billing & payments.
• Developing, maintaining and shipping features end-to-end.
• Contributing to design, implementation, and testing of technical solutions.
• Maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborating in an Agile/DevOps environment.
