Job summary

InShared in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to own and develop parts of our financial platform that powers billing, payments and collections. You’ll work with PHP and SQL, improve complex database logic and help modernize the architecture while maintaining reliability.

You’ll join a team of engineers who value accountability, pragmatic thinking, and collaboration. Knowledge of Laravel or Symfony and CI/CD is a plus, and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing applications in PHP.
• Strong SQL programming skills with complex database logic.
• Ability to read and improve existing SQL functions, procedures and business rules.
• Experience with Laravel or Symfony.
• Willingness to work in legacy and modern environments.
• Ownership and accountability for business-critical systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Own financial processes within the billing and collections platform.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents.
• Support service desk tickets when needed.
• Improve integrations with internal and external systems.
• Contribute to architectural improvements and modernization.
• Help move towards CI/CD and continuous delivery.
