A fast-growing MedTech company in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Freelance Software Engineer for a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on developing and maintaining medical software, requiring over 3 years of experience in software development within an Agile environment. This position offers hybrid work flexibility, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in software development within an Agile (or similar) environment.
• Experience with IEC 62304 medical device software standard is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain software for internal and external medical products.
• Take ownership of specific software modules, ensuring quality and interoperability across the stack.
• Set up unit and integration testing, and build the necessary tools to monitor performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, algorithm developers, and engineers to deliver robust, well-documented, production-ready code.
• Contribute ideas and strategies to improve software, algorithms, and product performance.
• Provide guidance on industry best practices around design, testing, and security.
