Job description

Overview

Senior Systems Engineer | MedTech Scale-up | 85k | Focus on Hardware, Integration and V&V

The company

Ready to lead the next generation MedTech innovation, behind one of Europe’s most advanced medical robots, whilst leading a multi-disciplinary team of 10?

The company is a fast-growing MedTech scale-up (~100 people, 60 in engineering) developing the next generation autonomous medical hardware. They’re in the final stage before market launch, with CE approval secured and solid funding through 2027.

What you’ll do

You'll own the refinement of system and sub-system requirements, define interfaces between functions, and ensure the product meets all relevant medical device standards. Working closely with testing, suppliers and manufacturers, you'll take ownership of the design and process improvements needed to make the device production-ready. You'll lead fellow engineers through verification activities, troubleshoot issues at system level and realize full validation.

The result: direct impact towards an improved healthcare, with products that actually save lifes.

Your profile

This role is less suitable if your background is primarily on the SW side, as the focus will be on (HW) integrations and overall system improvements, preparing for go-to-market.

  • Experience with (ownership) of the design to deployment phases of the development life cycle.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or similar)

  • Experience with structured testing, validation and reliability improvements
  • A BSc/MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics or Biomedical Engineering
  • Experience in a scaling, dynamic, high-tech environment.
  • You're based in The Netherlands or relocation is already organized. Visa/work permit (extension) can be offered, but not relocation.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with 6DOF
  • Experience with NPI / Go-to-Market
  • Knowledge of medical devices development (class II / III) and/or highly regulated environments
Compensation
  • A salary up to €85.000,-, including 8% holiday allowance
  • Full travel coverage
  • Visa (extension) support including the 30% ruling.
