Job summary

Premier Tech Systems and Automation is seeking a Software Engineer to design and program PLC controls and operator interfaces, support sales, service and production teams, and contribute to turnkey automation projects worldwide.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software and mechanical engineers on challenging projects, traveling up to 20% to client sites and PT locations. This role offers growth to more complex projects and exposure to international customers.

Qualifications

• Mechatronics education completed at least MBO level 4.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as PLC / software programmer.
• Knowledge of PLC programming software and WinCC; SEW drive is a plus.
• Creative and solution-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Electrical engineering background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing, developing, designing and programming calculations and sequences for PLC control (pneumatics, electrical, process), especially for new products in which you offer the right product options.
• Collaborate with the assembly and testing team in preparing machines for acceptance testing internally and with the customer
• Analyzing customer problems and making recommendations
• Participate in customer equipment start-up
• Resolve service technician and customer issues and provide technical support
• Working on drafting technical documents, including technical manuals
• Participate in preparing quotations and budget estimates

Jouw toekomstige functie in een paar woorden

• Analyseren, ontwikkelen, ontwerpen en programmeren van berekeningen en sequenties voor de PLC-besturing (pneumatiek, elektro, proces) met name voor nieuwe producten waarin je de juiste productopties aanbied.
• Samenwerken met het assemblage- en testteam bij het voorbereiden van machines voor acceptatietesten intern en met de klant
• Analyseren van problemen bij de klant en aanbevelingen doen
• Deelnemen aan het opstarten van apparatuur bij klanten
• Oplossen van problemen van servicetechnici en klanten en hen technische ondersteuning bieden
• Werken aan het opstellen van technische documenten, waaronder technische handleidingen
• Deelnemen aan het opstellen van offertes en budgetramingen

Benodigde vaardigheden

• Je hebt een mechatronica opleiding afgerond op minimaal MBO niveau 4
• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring als PLC / software programmeur
• Je hebt kennis van programmeersoftware PLC en WinCC, kennis van SEW drive is een pré
• Je bent creatief en oplossingsgericht en je hebt uitstekende analytische vaardigheden
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in het Engels
• Heb je een achtergrond in elektrotechniek? Dat is absoluut een plus!
