Job summary

Sioux in Eindhoven is seeking a Software Designer to design applications that collect, process, and visualize diagnostic machine data for monitoring performance and driving continuous improvements.

You will work with engineers to develop reliable software components in Python and/or C++, in a Linux environment, and contribute to architecture, testing, and deployment. The role offers hybrid work with coaching and a €6,000 training budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong Python software development experience, with C++ knowledge a plus.
• Experience in Linux-based development environments, Git, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of object‑oriented programming and design patterns.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and components using Python and/or C++.
• Translate system and business requirements into technical solutions and participate in software architecture and design discussions.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration practices.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Support software integration, qualification, and release activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across software, customer service, and integration domains.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development methodologies, tools, and processes while documenting software design, implementation, and maintenance activities.

This is what you bring to the table

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar and 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong Python software development experience, preferably complemented by C++ development skills; MATLAB experience is an advantage.
• Experience working in Linux-based development environments, using Git and CI/CD practices and good knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical systems.
• Experience with software architecture, system-level design, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the semiconductor, high-tech, or embedded software industry.
