Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited seeks an experienced professional to lead the technical due diligence on AI infrastructure opportunities across EMEA. You will guide powered land, build-to-suit and strategic investments, coordinating engineering, environmental, and permitting teams through scoping to final recommendations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical due diligence, site development, civil engineering, infrastructure development or large scale industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, utilities, permitting, zoning and infrastructure development across complex projects.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultants through feasibility and development studies.
  • Ability to interpret technical studies and translate engineering findings into commercial recommendations and investment decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate Development or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary technical due diligence across powered land, build to suit and strategic AI infrastructure opportunities throughout EMEA.
  • Manage engineering, environmental, geotechnical, utility and permitting consultants from initial scoping through to final technical recommendations.
  • Assess technical risks relating to constructability, utilities, fiber connectivity, environmental constraints, zoning, entitlements and development feasibility.
  • Prepare technical reports and present recommendations, risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership and investment stakeholders.
  • Partner with Site Selection, Project Development, Engineering, Energy, Legal and Finance teams throughout the infrastructure acquisition lifecycle.
  • Develop technical due diligence standards, consultant networks, templates and scalable review processes to support future growth across EMEA.

The role involves conducting technical due diligence on powered land, build-to-suit developments, and strategic infrastructure opportunities, while helping establish the engineering standards, governance, and technical processes that will support the organization's continued expansion.

Skills/Must Have:

  • Experience supporting large scale infrastructure acquisition or development programs

Salary:
