Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in structured cabling, data center, or telecom environments.
• Hands-on fiber and copper cabling, patch panels and fiber management systems.

• Experience supervising contractors or coordinating field teams.
• Strong knowledge of cable pathways, trays, routing and change control.
• Excellent communication across project, logistics, vendor and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control structured cabling activities from start to finish.
• Supervise contractors and manage cable pull schedules and sequencing.
• Ensure installations follow DWG drawings, specs, routes and standards.
• Track pulls, routes and progress; maintain field documentation and as-built records.
• Oversee cable tray, containment and pathway installation and logistics.
• Serve as on-site point of contact for cabling issues and change control.

The role involves leading structured cabling activities on site, coordinating contractors, drawings, fiber and copper installations, containment, logistics, and field documentation from initial deployment through to completion. You’ll play a key role in turning designs into live infrastructure while working closely with project, network, logistics, and engineering teams across major data center builds.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and control structured cabling activities across fiber and copper deployments from project start through completion
• Supervise contractors and manage cable pull schedules, installation sequencing and on site execution alongside project and infrastructure teams
• Ensure installations follow approved DWG drawings, specifications, cable routes, quantities and structured cabling standards
• Track cable pulls, routes, progress and deviations while maintaining accurate field documentation and supporting as built records
• Oversee cable tray, containment and pathway installation while coordinating logistics, vendors and material deliveries
• Act as the main on site point of contact for structured cabling issues, change control and coordination across design, project and field teams

Skills/Must have:

• 2 to 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications or data center field environments
• Hands on experience with fiber and copper cabling, including patch panels, enclosures, cassettes and fiber management systems
• Ability to read, interpret and apply AutoCAD or DWG drawings in a live field environment
• Experience supervising contractors or coordinating field teams across structured cabling deployments
• Strong understanding of cable pathways, tray systems, routing, cable tracking and change control
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across project, logistics, vendor and engineering teams

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working on large scale data center or high density fiber deployments
• Hands on experience working as part of a cable pulling team
• Basic understanding of network topologies and how structured cabling supports IT infrastructure
• Familiarity with TIA, ISO or BICSI standards
• Exposure to fiber fusion splicing
