Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Site Controller for our Almere operation. You will partner with the Site Manager, blending financial expertise with commercial awareness to drive performance, identify opportunities, and support key business decisions.

The role covers finance business partnering, leading month-end and year-end closes, managing the P&L, budgeting and forecasting, strengthening internal controls, and generating invoices for services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance and/or controlling.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner, advising site leadership on financial matters.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, managing the local P&L and accounting.
• Oversee budgeting, weekly/monthly forecasting, and corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial compliance.
• Create sales invoices for services and discuss with site managers and customers.

How you'll make an impact

• Acting as a finance business partner, advising site leadership and managers on financial and controlling matters while collaborating with cross-functional international teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial outcomes.
• Leading month-end and year-end closing procedures, managing the full P&L, and overseeing local accounting functions.
• Leading the budgeting process as well as weekly and monthly forecasting, taking corrective actions when required.
• Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Creating sales invoices for completed services and discussing them with site managers and customers.

What you'll bring to GXO

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance and/or controlling.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within a 3PL or logistics environment would be considered an advantage.
