Job summary

LeydenJar Technologies in Eindhoven is seeking a Material Scientist to advance pure silicon anode development. You will design, synthesize, and characterize silicon-based materials, driving projects from hypotheses to validated results in a fast-growing scale-up.

Join a multidisciplinary team, own experimental direction, collaborate with partners, and help translate research into scalable battery technology and products for consumer electronics and mobility.

Qualifications

• PhD in Material Science or Chemical Engineering, or MSc with hands-on experience in nano-structured materials.
• 1–3+ years of material characterization experience in research, thin-film, semiconductor or battery contexts.
• Hands-on experience with instrumental analysis and thin-film metrology.

Responsibilities

• Own development topics end to end from problem definition to technical conclusion.
• Establish characterization methods and select appropriate analysis tools.
• Correlate thin-film properties to battery performance.
• Develop QC/QA characterization methods and critical-to-quality parameters.
• Collaborate with battery, process, engineering and production teams.
• Document experiments and contribute to IP creation.
