Weven Energy, based in Delft, invites a driven student to join as Battery System Engineer internship. You will work hands-on with next-gen sodium-ion cells, running tests and helping shape the electronics and BMS architecture toward a scalable product.
You'll collaborate closely with engineers and external experts in a small, flat team that values autonomy and real ownership. The internship is at least 3 months and aligned with Dutch practice compensation.

Help us test next-generation sodium-ion chemistries and push the electronics and BMS architecture of the Power Brick from prototype toward a scalable product.
Weven Energy is a Delft-based startup building the next generation of energy systems. Our first product, the Power Brick, is a radically modular, Lego-like battery system that makes clean energy more affordable and accessible. We combine top expertise in battery technology, certification and manufacturing with a young, flat team that values high autonomy and real ownership.
The chemistry is the enabler. The electronics and BMS are what make it a product. You will spend time in the lab running tests on novel sodium-ion cells, and preferably also help develop the electronics and BMS architecture around them.
This is a hands-on internship. You will work with real cells, real test setups, and a team that is building toward certification and series production.
A student in battery engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field who wants lab work and product development, not just literature reviews.
Experience or a strong interest in electronics and BMS is important. PCB design and BMS design are a big plus. Hands-on hobby, DIY or electronics projects are also a big plus — we value people who have actually built things.
You should be curious, practical, and comfortable working both independently and with the team.
We are a small, flat team with no unnecessary layers. You get real ownership of your work and short lines to the people who make decisions. We value speed, clear communication and results. You will work directly with engineers, founders and senior experts.
A hands-on internship at the intersection of battery chemistry, electronics and product development. You will work with next-gen sodium-ion cells and a system that is moving from prototype to production. Internship compensation in line with Dutch practice.
