Job summary

APL Logistics operates a newly opened Amsterdam warehouse and is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations and accurate record-keeping.

You will coordinate with carriers and warehouse staff, verify shipments, schedule deliveries, and prepare essential documentation such as blind tallies and bills of lading. The role emphasizes Lean 5S and data accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience
• Experience with WMS is a must
• Strong attention to detail and data entry
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
• Team-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving
• Fluency in English; other languages a plus
• Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with carriers, warehouse staff, and customers to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify shipment accuracy, inspect for damages, and maintain detailed shipping and receiving records.
• Assist in scheduling deliveries, assigning dock doors, and preparing documentation such as blind tallies and bills of lading.
• Support inventory checks, cycle counts, and audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Apply Lean 5S and Continuous Improvement principles to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
