Job summary

DC Squad in the Amsterdam region seeks an experienced maintenance and operations professional with full authority for electrical safety and switching plans. You will manage UPS systems, emergency generators, transformers, switchgear, and ATS/STS, and oversee industrial cooling and water treatment systems.

The role requires hands-on, on-site work, call-out readiness, and strong English communication, with Dutch language skills a plus for vendor interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEN 3140 low voltage compliance.
• Experience with NEN 3840 high voltage.
• Ability to draft and execute switching plans.
• In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, emergency generators, transformers, switchgear, and ATS/STS.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance management per PPM playbooks.
• Draft and follow MOP/SOP/EOP.
• Record maintenance in BMS/CMMS.
• Fault diagnosis and incident response to critical alarms.
• English communication; Dutch is a strong asset for vendors.
• On-site work in Amsterdam region; participate in call-out roster.

Job description

• Full authority for low voltage according to NEN 3140 (Skilled Person / VP or Installation Responsible / IV).
• Full authority for high voltage according to NEN 3840 (Skilled Person / VP or Installation Responsible / IV).
• Experience in drafting and executing complex switching plans.
• Electrical Systems: In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, emergency generators, transformers, switchgear, and ATS/STS units.
• Mechanical & HVAC: Knowledge of industrial cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units) and water treatment.
• Safety: Possession of VCA VOL (Safety for Operational Supervisors).

2. Operational Skills

• Maintenance Management: Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and working according to strict playbooks.
• Procedures: Proficiency in working with and drafting MOP (Method of Procedure), SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), and EOP (Emergency Operating Procedure).
• Monitoring: Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and CMMS for recording maintenance activities.
• Incident Management: Ability to quickly perform fault diagnosis (Root Cause Analysis) and respond appropriately to critical alarms.
• Communication: Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written). Dutch is a strong asset for communicating with local vendors.
• Stress Management: Ability to remain calm and work methodically during emergencies and outages.
• Administrative Discipline: Accurate recording of performed tasks and incidents.
• Vendor Management: Effectively supervising and directing external contractors.
• Location: Willingness to work on-site in the Amsterdam region and participate in a call-out roster if necessary.
