Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Utrecht is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Management System Intern to support the Global SHE team with the implementation and improvement of the SHE Management System. You will help maintain documentation, tools, and governance across regions and sites while collaborating with local teams.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Safety, Health & Environment, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in Safety, Health and Environment, management systems, governance and continuous improvement.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to structure information, follow up actions and work with deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint and Power BI.
• Proactive, curious and hands-on mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with global and local teams.
• Commitment: You are available for 6 months, ideally from January or February 2027.
• Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and follow-up of the Global SHE Management System requirements.
• Assist in maintaining and improving SHE documentation, trackers, templates, guidance materials and implementation tools.
• Support the preparation of SHE Management System reviews, SHE Auditing, meetings, presentations and status updates.
• Help collect, organise and analyse information from regions and sites to monitor progress, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Support communication and coordination with Regional and Local SHE teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of agreed actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to make SHE processes simpler, clearer and more effective.
