Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a ServiceNow CSDM Engineer in Amsterdam to design, implement, and govern the Common Service Data Model across client environments, ensuring consistent service, application, and infrastructure representations.

You will own CMDB data quality, configure Discovery and Service Mapping, and drive CSDM adoption with business and technical stakeholders, so ITSM and ITOM workflows are powered by accurate, governance-aligned data.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with ServiceNow CSDM design, implementation and governance across enterprise environments.
• Solid CMDB expertise including CI lifecycles, health assessments, reconciliation and data integrity.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITOM capabilities, especially Discovery and Service Mapping, and Event Management.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow platform configuration, scripting (JavaScript/Glide Script) and integration patterns for CSDM/CMDB workflows.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex data models for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the CSDM framework across client ServiceNow instances, defining service models and data taxonomies.
• Own CMDB data quality, manage CI lifecycles, and monitor CMDB health with data integrity controls.
• Configure and optimise ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to populate accurate CMDB data.
• Drive CSDM adoption across client organisations by aligning data and governance practices.
• Integrate CSDM/CMDB data with ITSM and ITOM workflows to support reporting and decision-making.
