Job summary

Verto People Ltd is seeking a Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer to service compressed air equipment at customer sites across the Netherlands.

You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs, installations and diagnostics for compressors, dryers, filtration and vacuum systems, with weekly reporting to the Leiden area. A proactive, customer‑facing engineer with a driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Field service background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with compressors, filtration systems, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrics, controls and electro-mechanical systems advantageous.
• Customer-focused, able to work independently, with a full driving licence and willingness to travel across the Netherlands.
• Commutable to Leiden area weekly for training and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain compressed air equipment including compressors, dryers, filtration and vacuum systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs at customer sites across Netherlands.
• Install and commission compressed air and pneumatic equipment in industrial environments.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide on-site technical support.
• Full remote covering Netherlands reporting to the site near Leiden weekly.

Job description

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical service, repair, maintenance and installations for compressed air equipment including compressors, blowers , dryers, nitrogen generators, air filtration and associated products at customer sites throughout the Netherlands. Full product training will be provided.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a field service background within electrical or mechanical engineering, working with equipment such as compressors, filtration systems, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, pumps, industrial motors, medical gas, or other electro-mechanical equipment.

• €5,000 - €6,500 gross per month depending on experience

• Liaise with various engineering departments.
• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering background with strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Compressor Engineer or similar within electromechanical products.
• Background working with electromechanical products such as industrial equipment, compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, medical gas, vacuum systems or similar.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrics, controls and electromechanical systems advantageous.
• Customer-focused, able to work independently, with a full driving licence and willingness to travel across Netherlands
• Commutable to the site near Leiden atleast once a week for training and team meetings.
