Job summary

Flowtec Group is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to install, commission and service cooling systems on customer sites in the Amsterdam area. You’ll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose issues, and optimize systems for efficiency, working with a skilled team while on-call for rotating weeks.

The ideal candidate has a technical refrigeration/mechanical background, HVAC experience, and a driving license.

Qualifications

• Technical background in refrigeration or mechanical systems.
• Experience in HVAC or cooling systems.
• F-Gas certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Driving license Category B.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission cooling systems on-site.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues on-site.
• Work with chillers, heat pumps, refrigeration systems, etc.
• Support customers with system optimization and energy efficiency.
• Operate independently with strong technical team support.
• On-call duty approximately 1 week every 6 weeks.

What you’ll do

As a Service Engineer, you’ll work directly with customers to:

• Install and commission cooling systems
• Perform maintenance (preventive & corrective)
• Diagnose and fix technical issues on-site
• Work with a variety of systems (chillers, heat pumps, refrigeration, etc.)
• Support customers with system optimization and energy efficiency
• You’ll work independently, with strong support from a technical team.
• On-call duty is part of the role (around 1 week every 6 weeks).

Your profile

• Technical background (refrigeration, mechanical, or similar)
• Some experience in HVAC or cooling systems
• Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
• F-Gas certification (or willingness to obtain it)
• Independent, proactive, and customer-focused
• Eager to learn and grow
• Driving license (Category B)
• English and/or Dutch speaking

What our client offers

• Monthly base salary: up to €4,500 gross (+ 8% holiday allowance)
• Company service van provided (private use possible)
• Overtime paid at 150% Mon–Fri, 175% on Saturday and 200% on Sunday
• Stand-by allowance: €70 gross per day of on-call duty
• Travel time: the first 30 minutes one-way are your own time
• Pension plan with employer contribution (age-based, total 5.3% to 31.5%)
• 30 days of leave (20 statutory + 10 extra), with the option to buy or sell 10 extra days per year
• 3 paid days per year for volunteering
• 12-month contract with the prospect of a permanent position
