Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in centrifugal compressor installation, commissioning, and start‑up. The successful candidate will act as the on‑site specialist overseeing the installation and start‑up of a compressor package comprising a CeCo centrifugal compressor with dry gas seals, gas cooler, and associated equipment.

This role requires a hands‑on expert who can ensure safe, compliant, and technically sound execution of all installation and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, alignment, and mechanical completion of a centrifugal compressor package (CeCo) including dry gas seals, gas coolers, and auxiliary systems.
• Lead and execute commissioning and start‑up activities in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project procedures.
• Perform technical checks, troubleshooting, and functional testing of compressor equipment and related systems.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project documentation.
• Interface with the client's engineering team, site management, and vendor representatives to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare daily progress reports and provide technical documentation as required.
• Support the site team with expert knowledge on compressor performance, operational considerations, and reliability.
