Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking a Service Solution Architect to lead IT/OT solutions for assigned customer accounts, delivering end-to-end technical delivery in a high‑tech, global environment.

You will own testing, documentation, system optimizations and coordinate with internal teams and customers to align delivery with business goals, while maintaining a helicopter view of the solution architecture across platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT roles with customer interaction.
• Bachelor's in IT, CS, systems engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• Fluent in English; Dutch a plus.
• IT service management knowledge; ITIL4 is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 10-20%.

Our Impact

As a Service Solution Architect, you are the technical lead for the IT/OT solution delivered to your assigned customer accounts. You work across various technologies - not on isolated products, but on the full integrated solution running operations on customer sites.

We are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles with customer interaction (e.g. system integration, testing, infrastructure, or software delivery in business‑critical environments.
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field like IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related/similar technical field.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Ability to perform well under pressure (e.g. during escalations or major incidents), set priorities, and manage time effectively.
• A sharp, analytical mindset, you mainly work on the big picture, while getting detail‑oriented when needed.
• A working knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks. ITIL4 certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Overall knowledge regarding:
  • OT: e.g. PLC, barcode scanners, SCADA
  • IT Infrastructure: e.g. server&virtualization, networking (VLAN, firewall, etc.), database, cyber security awareness
  • IT Software: e.g. system messaging&communication, WCS/WMS knowledge, Identity Access Management, logging analysis, data analysis tools
  • Release management, ability to determine which releases to bring to a customer
  • Risk management
  • Willingness to travel (~10-20%, both domestic and international).

You will join the IT Operations Centre in Service Excellence. The department consists of IT service consultancy, IT architecture, IT project management and IT service management. Together, we ensure our customers’ systems remain reliable, scalable, and fit‑for‑purpose throughout their lifecycle.
