Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Amersfoort/Utrecht, Netherlands, is seeking a Medical Device Technician to bridge technology and patient safety. You will ensure devices used in hospitals perform reliably and will document findings in quality systems.

Role requires a technical background in electromechanics, experience with diagnostics and repair, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency in English is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

Technical background in electromechanics or related engineering.
Experience with bench diagnostics and repair of electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and reliability in standardized work.
Effective communicator in structured, fast-paced settings.
Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
Experience with Salesforce and MS Office is an advantage.

Disassemble and assemble devices with precision following torque specs, ESD and safety protocols.
Document findings, test results, parts usage and device history in Salesforce and quality systems.
Manage spare parts: request, track and reconcile inventory used during repair.
Adhere to GDP, EHS/ESD requirements and quality system procedures.

Purpose: In this role, you’re the link between technology and patient safety. You’ll ensure devices used in hospitals and clinics worldwide perform reliably and consistently. You’ll work in a structured yet dynamic setting where quality, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Flexible start times: begin your day between 07:30 and 08:30 - whichever suits you best.

As a Medical Device Technician, You Will

Perform pre- and post-repair tests on medical devices using defined procedures, fixtures, and test equipment.
Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and robotic system issues to module level; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
Disassemble and assemble devices with precision, following torque specifications, ESD and safety protocols, and workmanship standards.
Accurately document findings, test results, parts usage, and device history in Salesforce and relevant quality/maintenance systems.
Manage spare parts: request, track, and reconcile inventory used during repair and preventive maintenance.
Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), EHS/ESD requirements, and applicable quality system procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements

Technical background (e.g., electromechanics, mechanical/electrical engineering, mechatronics, or technician/apprenticeship).
Experience with bench diagnostics and repair of electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and reliability in following standardized work.
Effective communicator; collaborative and comfortable in a structured, fast-paced setting.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Dutch is a plus.
Experience with Salesforce and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is an advantage.

The Anticipated Base Pay Range For This Position Is

€35.000,00 - €53.360,00
