Job summary

Alewijnse is looking for an experienced engineer to take care of service, maintenance and commissioning on electrical and control installations aboard ships, at home and abroad. You will locate and diagnose faults and perform measurements, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

The role offers a competitive salary between €3,500 and €4,300 for a full-time job, overtime rewards, training and development opportunities, and benefits under the Metaal en Techniek collective agreement, plus 25 holidays

Qualifications

• Diploma in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
• Enjoys working more independently.
• Communicative skills (Dutch and English).
• Willingness to travel (possibly worldwide).

Job description

Taking care of maintenance and service assignments on electrical and control installations. This at various customers where complex faults need to be fixed by a careful and inventive approach.

The tasks:

• Independently perform service, maintenance and commissioning work on various electrical installations on board ships at home and abroad;
• Locating and diagnosing faults;
• Preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Performing measurements on the electrical installations;
• Making summaries and reports on the work performed;
• Communicating with the customer on progress and any follow-up actions.
