Job summary

WhiteSpace seeks a senior domain expert in the Netherlands to bridge client needs and engineering delivery. You translate business and engineering intent into technical specifications and set the technical direction for a small team.

You will maintain delivery discipline with realistic timelines, coach consultants on domain craft, and identify opportunities for extra client value, collaborating with Commercial to advance opportunities. Fluent English and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Senior upstream engineering background in Subsurface, Drilling & Wells, Field Development and/or Front End Project Delivery.
• Ability to engage with senior technical counterparts and translate client needs into technical specifications.
• Comfort with AI and software delivery teams, without needing to build software themselves.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain credibility in client engagements and lead technical conversations with senior clients.
• Turn business and engineering intent into technical specifications for the delivery team and translate back to clients.
• Provide technical direction for a small team and review deliverables to uphold domain quality.
