bunq is seeking a Transaction Review Lead to own the firm’s approach to money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions evasion across Transaction Filtering Review and Transaction Monitoring Review. You will lead five direct reports, shaping processes to be user-centric and regulator-ready.

• Experience in AML, sanctions, or transaction monitoring.
• Ability to redesign processes with a user-centered approach.
• Strong risk assessment and escalation skills.
• Leadership experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Redesign transaction review processes focusing on user needs as part of a zero-based redesign.
• Apply AI only where it adds clear value to speed or quality.
• Own quarterly risk assessments across domains and close CAP items.
• Unite TFR and TMR behind KPIs with clear ownership and weekly cadence.
• Document rationale for every investigation to regulator-ready standards.
• Provide direct, constructive coaching and accountability for the team.
