Job summary
LyondellBasell seeks a Sr. Trader EU Gasoline Components and Oxyfuels to lead the trading book across Europe, Middle East and Africa under the Global Head.
You will drive disciplined risk management, market leadership, and value creation through innovative trading strategies while representing LYB to external counterparties. You will mentor junior traders, collaborate with commercial operations and analytics, oversee a broad liquids portfolio including MTBE, ETBE and ethanol, and help shape
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in commodity trading or related leadership roles.
- Proven track record in gasoline trading portfolios and asset-backed businesses.
- Innovation in trading strategies and strong risk management.
- Expertise in market insight, price discovery, and portfolio management.
- Fluency in English; French language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Gasoline Blending Components and Oxyfuels trading book across EMEA.
- Mentor traders and coordinate with commercial operations and analytics.
- Oversee liquids portfolio including MTBE, ETBE and ethanol.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for EU biofuels.
- Negotiate complex agreements with refiners, banks and end users.
