Job summary

Lely in Maassluis, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer to shape quality engineering and test automation strategy for Horizon, the farm management platform.

You provide technical direction, drive improvements across multiple teams, and raise testing maturity. You will own automation across component, API, and end-to-end levels, including CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years in test automation/quality engineering in a technical product environment.
• Experience guiding, coaching, or mentoring engineers in technical initiatives.
• Fluency in English and strong communication for stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the test automation strategy across component, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and drive adoption across multiple teams.
• Provide technical direction and coaching within the Test Automation Chapter.
• Own the component testing domain, expanding coverage and integration into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Drive collaboration across Netherlands and Turkey.
• Provide objective insights on product quality, risk, and release readiness.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated E2E and API tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Design and maintain component tests using C# and Testcontainers.
• Manage and improve CI/CD test pipelines in GitLab.
• Own automated quality gates and Windows VM lab infrastructure.
• Maintain dashboards, reports, and quality metrics.
