Job summary
JetBrains is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the Kotlin-in-IDE experience end to end. This hands-on role requires daily use of the Kotlin plugin in IntelliJ IDEs, maintaining reference projects, and building AI-driven prototypes.
You will drive the plugin roadmap and communicate clearly with Kotlin developers and external audiences. You will collaborate with Kotlin language teams, developers, and marketing, while ensuring the DX quality and user value drive every decision.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in technical product management or similar
- Hands-on product leader with end-to-end ownership
- Experience with AI coding tools and agents to reshape developer workflows
- Ability to define clear roadmaps with problem statements and success criteria
Responsibilities
- Own the Kotlin-in-IDE experience end to end
- Experiment with Kotlin in IntelliJ-based IDEs and maintain reference projects
- Build prototypes with AI coding agents
- Coordinate plugin roadmap with Kotlin compiler releases and IDE trains
- Represent Kotlin plugin to external audiences at conferences and blogs
- Ensure developer experience is prioritized in daily workflows
