Job summary

JetBrains is seeking an engineering leader to head the Kotlin Infrastructure team, treating infrastructure as a core product for developers at scale. You’ll shape long-term platform strategy and remove friction for hundreds of Kotlin developers across the JetBrains ecosystem.

You’ll partner with a Technical Lead and a team of top engineers to drive architecture, delivery, and adoption of scalable CI/CD, build and developer tooling, and internal platforms that empower teams to deliver software

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams or large technical initiatives.
• Ability to align multiple stakeholders and communicate architectural decisions.
• Experience with developer infrastructure, build systems, CI/CD, or internal engineering platforms.
• Understanding of software build systems and engineering workflows at scale.
• Passion for improving developer productivity through tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term evolution of Kotlin infrastructure with the Tech Lead.
• Own planning and prioritization across infrastructure initiatives.
• Drive initiatives that improve developer productivity and experience.
• Coach engineers and participate in hiring for the team.
• Collaborate across teams to evolve Kotlin infrastructure and platforms.
